Crescent Cheesecake Bars

This is one of those super easy delicious recipes. I got this one from my Mom years ago. There are many similar recipes out there but don’t bother. Nothing tastes better than this one.

Ingredients
Bars:
2 8oz Pillsbury Crescent rolls
2 8oz cream cheese, room temperature
1 egg yolk (save the white)
1 cup sugar

Topping:
1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Place 1 package Crescent rolls on the bottom of a 9×13 greased pan. Pinch all the seams together.
Beat cream cheese, sugar and egg yolk until well blended. Spread the cream cheese mixture on top of the Crescent dough. Place the second package of Crescents over the cheese filling. Pinch seams together.
Beat egg white until foamy and spread on top.
Mix 1/2 cup sugar & 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon together and sprinkle over egg white.

Bake @ 350 for 25 minutes. Cool down and store in the refrigerator. Best if covered and kept in the refrigerator overnight before slicing. YUM!
