Cinnamon-raisin rolls

Gotta love this classic cinnamon raisin roll recipe. Makes about 12 rolls. Serve hot out of the oven… Yum!

Dough
1 cup lukewarm water
1 large egg
3-1/4 cup bread flour
4 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons dry milk
¼ cup butter
1-1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast

Cinnamon filling
¼ cup brown sugar and 1 heaping teaspoon cinnamon, mixed
1 small box (1/3 cup) raisins
4 teaspoons cold butter

Egg wash
1 egg, beaten
3 teaspoons water

Icing
1 cup confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon melted butter
2 tablespoons milk

Add all dough ingredients in your mixer and beat for 5 minutes with a dough hook. Place dough ball in a greased bowl and let rise for 1 hour, covered with plastic.

Roll dough out on a floured surface to about 15×10. Top with brown sugar-cinnamon mix, raisins and dot with butter.

Begin rolling dough starting along long side. With seam side down, cut in 1-1/2 inch pieces. Place in a greased pan about 1 inch apart. Allow to rise 1 hour. Egg wash and place in a 375 degree preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes until golden.

Pour icing over top
