4.5 cups bread flour
14 oz. lukewarm water
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons yeast
2 tablespoons oil
Combine all ingredients and knead for 5 minutes until dough is very elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover. Let rise for 1 hour to double. This can also be done on your bread machines “dough” setting instead.
Roll out dough to about 1/2 inch thickness using lots of flour. Cut into 10 inch long strips by about 1/2 inch wide. Holding the strip of dough, roll it between your hands and start to twist.
Place each breadstick made onto a jelly roll pan lined with silpat or parchment paper. Bake at 450 for about 10 minutes until golden brown. Keep an eye on them they burn fast.
